Pune News : PMC announces water cut in parts of Pune

Installation of a new flow meter has been completed at the Chikhli water treatment plant, which supplies water to Pune city. The flow meter has been installed between the existing 1200 mm pipeline, and it will enable the authorities to measure the amount of water supplied to the city accurately.

As a part of the maintenance work, the authorities are also plugging the leakage in the water line and connecting the water line supplying to the water tank in Asha Nagar area of Chatushrungi to the main water channel. Due to this, the water supply to the said area has to be shut off.

As a result, the citizens of Aundh, Bopodi, Aundh Road, Part of Khadki (Pune Mumbai Highway), Abhimanashree Society, Vidhate Vasti, I. T. I Road, Panchavati, Kasturba Colony, Siddharth Nagar, Aundh Village, Pune University Campus, Bhau Patil Road, Baner Road Campus, Bhoite Vasti, Sindh Society, Sanewadi, Anand Park, Nagaras Road, I.C.S. Colony Bhosale Nagar, Indira Colony, Sakal Nagar, Angal Park, and Raj Bhavan will face water supply cut off on 23/03/2023.

In addition, the water supply cut off area from the Chikhali Water Treatment Plant will include Ganesh Nagar Bopkhel, Mhaske Vasti Alandi Road, Tingrenagar, Adarsh Colony, Barmashil slum, Pune Airport Lohgaon, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar (North & South), Vimannagar, Yamunanagar, Sripark Society, Parashar Society, Dinkar Pathare Vasti, Thube Pathare Nagar, and Kharadi Bypass Road. These areas will also experience low water pressure on the next day.

The authorities have requested citizens to make necessary arrangements to deal with the water supply cut off during this period.
