Pune News : PMC extends garden timings due to summer vacation
Pune: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced an extension of garden timings in light of the summer vacations. Previously, the gardens were open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the morning and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the evening. However, the new timings will be from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the morning and 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM in the evening.
Ashok Gorphade, the head, PMC Garden Department, stated that the extension of timings during the summer season aims to provide more opportunities for children to have fun during their holidays. He also clarified that there will be no increase in ticket prices despite the extended timings.
This change in garden timings has been well-received by the public, as it allows more time for families and children to enjoy the green spaces in the city. The additional hour in the morning and half-hour in the evening provides an opportunity for early morning walkers and evening strollers to make the most of the pleasant weather during the summer months.
