Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has received around 50 thousand applications for a discount on property tax.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Ajit Deshmukh, Head, PMC Tax Department said, “So far, close to 50 thousand applications of property holders in Pune have come to us regarding discounts in property tax. The 40% discount scheme is open only for self/personal property holders. The deadline of applying for the discount is till November 15, 2023. Hence, all property holders in Pune must apply before November 15 to avail discount in property tax.”
As per further information, the PMC has re-imposed a forty percent discount on property tax. In order to get this discount, it is mandatory to fill the PT-3 form, and it is expected that three and a half lakh applications will be received for the discount. However, so far, only 50 thousand applications have been filed with the administration.
Meanwhile, the date for applying for exemption is November 15 and the remaining property holders have been requested by the PMC Tax Department to apply with necessary documents.
The PMC Tax Department has prepared a draft from the Law Department. Accordingly, the Municipal Corporation has maintained the discount for those who had availed 40 percent discount before 2019. However, after that, those constructions which have been taxed at 100% have made it mandatory to fill the PT 3 form for tax relief. This form has to be filled and submitted to the field office before November 15 with a fee of Rs 25.

1) Society’s No Objection Certificate
2) Voting Identity Card
3) Passport
4) Driving License
5) Gas Card
6) Ration Card
