Pune News: PMC Takes Action Against 226 Unauthorized Ganesh Idol Stalls

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has taken steps to address unauthorized stalls by issuing notices to 226 Ganesh idol vendors who had set up their stalls on roads and footpaths, causing traffic disruptions. Additionally, three Ganesh mandals received notices for extending their pandals onto extra land.

According to Somnath Banker, Deputy Commissioner of PMC’s anti-encroachment department, regional ward offices will be responsible for enforcing actions against these illegal stalls. The Sinhagad Road area recorded the highest number of violations, with 31 idol sellers receiving notices, while the Yeolewadi ward office reported no violations.
