Pune: Pune city has launched a 24 hour helpline number for water supply complaints, which has received an overwhelming response from residents in just three days. The helpline was initiated by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on March 1, 2023, to address the water-related complaints of citizens.

Residents can complain on the helpline number 020- 25501383.

Citizens can make complaints related to the water supply department of Pune city, including issues such as non-inflow of water, low pressure water supply, burst water pipes, and others.

According to Aniruddha Pawaskar, Head of PMC Water Supply Department, “We have received over 250 complaints in three days regarding the inadequate water supply. Most of these complaints are from the newly merged 23 villages, whereas we are trying to solve their water issue. But as the infrastructure is not proper it will take time to meet their daily requirement of water.”

The new helpline is a significant step towards improving the water supply infrastructure in Pune city. The PMC is committed to providing better services to citizens and addressing their complaints promptly. The helpline is expected to ensure that water-related issues are resolved quickly, enabling citizens to lead a comfortable and hassle-free life.
