In an effort to promote women’s health, hygiene, and happiness, the Jagruti Foundation in Pune has been working tirelessly to provide management programs for a healthier tomorrow. The foundation aims to educate people on women’s health and menstrual hygiene.
The foundation has already achieved significant accomplishment in this regard. One such accomplishment is their partnership with Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd for the Red Dot Campaign, which was part of the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav initiative of the Ministry of Health and Urban Affairs. The foundation also collaborated with PMPML and Jagruti Foundation for the Red Dot Campaign on Tejaswini Mahila buses. Moreover, a documentary on the Red Dot Campaign was screened at multiplexes in PCMC for four months.
The foundation has also conducted sanitary napkin donation drives at various locations in Maharashtra, Gujrath, and Karnataka, benefiting over 7,000 adolescent girls with special abilities, including autistic, blind, deaf, dumb, CP, and slow learners, and 500 tribal girls. The foundation has also received recognition for their efforts, including a lifetime commitment to provide sanitary pads to school girls at Brahmadatta school in Nigdi and collaboration with Western Railway to execute the Red Dot Campaign.
The foundation’s efforts have also garnered media attention, with 64 media mentions in Marathi, Hindi, and English. Additionally, the foundation has participated in four international conferences, including one hosted by UNICEF Australia and London.
Recently, on January 12, 2023, Jagruti Foundation received recognition and the MHM Champion award in Delhi for their contribution to women’s health, hygiene, and happiness management programs. These accomplishments demonstrate the foundation’s commitment to promoting women’s health and wellbeing, and their efforts will undoubtedly benefit countless women and girls in the years to come.
