Pune News : PMPML passengers to be rewarded with Rs 100 for notifying about rash drivers

Pune: Taking action against the drivers, conductors and officials of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML), the public transport utility has announced a reward of Rs 100 for passengers who complain against them with proof. The amount will be given to the complainant only after verifying it.   

It is worthy to note that the PMPML receives numerous complaints and suggestions from citizens, social organizations, and public representatives regarding the unruly behaviour of drivers, conductors and officials which mainly includes talking on mobile phones, buses not having route boards or having wrong route boards, halting buses at zebra crossings. As per the information, the complaint will be verified first and only after its verification, the driver, conductor or official will be fined up to Rs 1000 which will be deducted from his salary.

The PMPML has clarified that after receiving such complaints from the passengers, the reward of Rs 100, in the form of cash, will be given only after verifying it. 

It has appealed to the passengers, and citizens to send photos/videos regarding the complaints of such driver/conductor/other officials along with bus number, route number, place, date and time to the corporation’s email id: [email protected]. The complaint can also be sent to WhatsApp number +91 – 98814 95589 or submit it at the nearest PMPML depot.
