Pune News : Police arrests thief who drove away car parked from mall customers under pretext of valet parking on Katraj Kondhwa road

Pune: Acting on a tip-off, the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station has arrested a man for stealing four-wheelers from the customers of D mart and other malls located on Katraj Kondhwa road under the pretext of providing valet parking services.
 The accused is identified as Rugved Chandrakant Bhise, resident of the SRA building, behind Prayeja City, Sinhagad Road, Pune. The police have seized two four-wheelers worth Rs 15 lakh from his possession.Â
As per the information, the police team started searching vehicles on the Katraj Kondhwa road. During the search operation, Bhise was arrested. During interrogation, Bhise confessed to stealing two four-wheelers from D Mart and other malls under the pretext of providing valet services. He took cars in custody from owners for valet parking and never returned. The value of both the stolen cars is Rs 15,00,000.
Police are further investigating the case.
