Pune News: Pune IT Professionals voice their problems ahead of Chinchwad by-polls
PUNE: On Tuesday, February 21, Forum for Information Technology Employees (FITE) had organized a ‘Twitter Space’ to discuss issues faced by IT employees on the backdrop of the Chinchwad by-polls. According to FITE members, many issues are being faced by IT employees daily in Hinjawadi and adjoining areas, which need to be discussed ahead of the assembly by-poll elections.
Issues like the water crisis in housing societies, traffic jams in the IT park area, approach road issues, parking issues in Hinjawadi, backup roads to Hinjawadi while metro work is going on, and job-related issues of IT employees were discussed during the online interaction. It was also decided that all prominent election candidates, including Nana Kate, Ashwini Jagtap, and Rahul Kalate, be invited to one dais to discuss these issues.
Pavanjeet Mane, President of FITE, also said that while highlighting our issues, we must not forget to cast our vote. FITE is trying to increase voter turnout during the by-poll election this time. On behalf of FITE, he appealed that, on Sunday, all IT employees should cast their vote without fail. IT employees should not go to celebrate the weekend.
According to Mane, FITE wants to involve all party candidates in a discussion arranged by FITE to be scheduled on Thursday so that all candidates know about problems faced by IT employees residing in Hinjewadi and adjoining areas. Mane, Ajinkya Swami, Lavkesh Jain, and Basu Patil participated in the discussion and presented many issues IT employees face.
