Pune News : Pune to get its first tree ambulance, announces guardian minister Chandrakant Patil

Pune: Pune’s Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil, has announced that a ‘tree ambulance’ will be introduced n the city, aimed at rescuing and preserving trees. The announcement was made during the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Samarpan Award ceremony, which recognized actor Sayaji Shinde for his efforts to protect trees.

The proposed tree ambulance will travel around the city, tending to trees in need. According to Patil, the inspiration for the project came from the tree doctor ambulance developed by Guwahati IIT in Assam. This ambulance visits villages, removes nails from trees, removes posters and flexes stuck on trees, and takes action to save trees that are in poor condition.

Speaking at the event, Patil said, “Inspired by the tree ambulance in Assam and we want to introduce the same concept in Pune. The tree ambulance will be equipped with all the necessary tools and equipment to take care of trees.”
