Pune News : Police takes action against loud music at Talli restaurant and bar in Koregaon Park

Pune City Police’s Social Security Department, Crime Branch, took action against Talli Restaurant and Bar in Koregaon Park, Pune for playing loud music with a sound system on 22 April 2023. Police officers who were patrolling in the Koregaon Park area heard loud music coming from Talli Restaurant and Bar located at Out of the Word Building, Lane No. 7 Koregaon Park, Pune.

Upon investigation, it was found that the restaurant was playing loud music on a sound system, violating the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Act 2000. The police took action against the restaurant and imposed a fine of Rs. 4,80,000/- (four lakh eighty thousand). The seized sound system and DJ mixer were confiscated, and the case has been handed over to the Koregaon Park Police Station for further action in accordance with the Noise Pollution Regulations.

The successful action was carried out under the orders and guidance of Hon. Commissioner of Police, Pune City Ritesh Kumar,  Joint Commissioner of Police, Pune City, Sandip Karnik, Additional Commissioner of Police Crime, Pune City Ramnath Pokle, Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime, Pune City, Amol Zende, and Senior Police Inspector of Social Security Department Bharat Jadhav, along with the team comprising of Irfan Pathan, Amit Jamdade, and Aniket Pote. The Pune City Police is committed to ensuring the safety and security of citizens and taking action against violations of laws and regulations to maintain peace and order in the city.
