Pune News: Pune traffic police implements temporary restrictions to ease traffic on Sinhagad road

Pune: As per information, for safe and smooth flow of traffic in Sinhagad Road areas, the traffic police are implementing temporary traffic restrictions in Sinhagad Road area. The earlier traffic restrictions are being cancelled.
· For traffic coming from Swargate towards Vadgaon Bridge Veer Baji Pasalkar Chowk, from Sinhagad Road and turning left at Ganesh Mala Signal to Janata Vasahat Canal Road and Misaal Udyan (Canal Junction), by traffic diverting towards the left side, one-way traffic will be implemented from the right side of the canal along Anand Vihar Road to Tukainagar Chowk.
· For traffic coming from Vadgaon Bridge (Veer Baji Pasalkar) Chowk towards Swargate, by taking a left from Sinhagad Road Zonal Office Chowk to London Bridge Chowk, one-way traffic will be implemented from Misaal Udyan (Canal Junction) Chowk, taking a left turn to Vishrantinagar Chowk.
· For traffic coming from Misaal Udyan (Canal Junction), commuting from the left side of the canal is prohibited.
· From Hingane to Mahadevnagar, four-wheelers are banned and only two-wheelers are allowed to cross the London bridge connecting both canal roads.
· Heavy traffic is being banned on Canal Road from Janata Vasahat to Sinhagad Road Kshetriya Karyalay & Fun Time Theatre.
· On Vadgaon to Paunjai Mata Mandir Road, from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Smarak Chowk to Vishnu Puram Society Gate, there will be no parking up to 50 meters on both sides of the road.
· While going from Goyalganga Chowk to Sinhagad Road Regional Office, from Goyalganga Chowk to ICICI Bank, a no parking zone is being created up to 50 meters on both sides of the road up to ICICI Bank (until the end of the divider).
· While going from Goyalganga Chowk to Sinhagad Road Zonal Office, from Goyalganga Chowk to ICICI Bank to Amritganga Society Gate no 4 (Shorba Hotel), parking arrangements only for two-wheelers are being made on the left side of the road
· On the way from Goyalganga Chowk to Sinhagad Road Zonal Office Chowk, after the divider ends on the right side, parking arrangements are being made only for four-wheelers from the drama theatre to Atithi Hotel.
· While going from Goyalganga Chowk to Sinhagad Road Zonal Office Chowk, on the right side of the road, from HDFC Bank to the gate of Soba Optima Society (Premacha Chaha Shop), parking arrangements are being made for two-wheelers only.
· While going from Sinhagad Road Regional Office to Goyalganga Chowk, from Sinhagad Regional Office Chowk to the end of the divider, there will be no parking up to 100 meters on both sides of the road.
Alternate Route:- There will be no inconvenience to motorists/citizens as alternate roads are available from Swargate to Vadgaon Bridge (Veer Baji Pasalkar Chowk) and from Vadgaon Bridge to Swargate (Canal Road).
If citizens have any suggestions in this regard, they should report them in writing to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Branch, Airport Road, Yerwada, Pune from August 6 to August 20.
The final decision will be taken after considering the suggestions and objections of the citizens and excluding essential service vehicles (e.g. fire brigade, police vehicles, ambulances etc).
