Pune News : Rasta Roko held in Mundhwa demanding solution to traffic congestion

Pune: The Shiv Sena conducted a fierce Rasta Roko protest at Mahatma Phule Chowk in Mundhwa on December 15 (Friday) regarding an immediate resolution of the permanent traffic jam on several roads like Manjari-Keshav Nagar main road, Kharadi-Magarpatta bypass, roads in Hadapsar & Mundhwa etc.

As per further information, some of the issues highlighted in the Rasta Roko protest are:

• Due to the presence of many industries, hotels, malls, IT parks, and the main road, there is a permanent heavy traffic congestion at Kharadi-Magarpatta Bypass, Mahatma Phule Chowk, Mundhwa, resulting in a large amount of traffic congestion. Therefore, in order to solve the permanent traffic congestion here, a subway should be constructed at this place and the traffic congestion should be cleared. A substantial provision for this should be made in the budget for the year 2024-2025.
• From Keshav Nagar Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk to Manjari Road, the road should be widened immediately as per the development plan map.
• Since Keshav Nagar Babasaheb Kalyani Road is too narrow, it should also be widened as per the development plan map.
• It is a humble request to speed up the development in all these areas and to free everyone from traffic congestion.
