Pune News : Rural Police arrests one in fake currency racket from ShirurÂ
Pune: Acting on the information, a team of Pune rural police raided a counterfeit currency factory in Shirur and arrested one individual along with counterfeit currency printing material.
Pune rural police informed that a team of Ranjangaon MIDC police raided a flat on Ramalingam road in Shirur city, where accused Manish Amarpal was found with counterfeit currency notes.
During his interrogation, police found that he was the part of the counterfeit currency racket to be run from the flat. Police team also recovered counterfeit currency notes of Rs 500 worth of Rs 30,000 from his possession.
Police officials confirmed that, during his house search, they had recovered paper used for printing counterfeit currency notes, colours,printer and other materials used for printing counterfeit currency notes.
Police told that, interrogation of the accused person is going on and prima facie it seems that this counterfeit currency racket has multistate connections. Police told only after a detailed investigation, more information will come out.
