Police File Case Against Father for Alleged Sexual Abuse of His Six-Year-Old Daughter
A disturbing incident of a minor being sexually assaulted has shaken Pune, exposing the dark reality of sexual violence against minors. In April, a minor girl was allegedly raped by two friends with the help of her own friend, who facilitated the crime and recorded it on a mobile phone. The victim, forced to drink alcohol, was taken advantage of while incapacitated. The accused friend had invited her to a party, where the horrific incident occurred. The victim’s family only became aware of the trauma four months later, when they noticed a change in her behavior and she confided in them.
The victim’s father has filed a complaint, and the police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The minors involved have been detained, and the police are investigating further. This incident raises alarming concerns about the safety and well-being of minors in Pune. It highlights the need for increased vigilance, awareness, and action to prevent such heinous crimes.
