Pune News: Three Arrested For Brutal Attack On Social Media Influencer In Wagholi
PUNE: A social media influencer, Akash alias Avkash Bansode, was brutally attacked with sharp weapons by a group of assailants in Ubalenagar, Wagholi, on Thursday night, triggering panic among local residents.
According to police, Bansode, who also runs a garment shop in the area, sustained serious injuries after three individuals stormed into his shop and launched a violent assault. His friend, present at the scene, intervened and prevented the situation from escalating further.
The incident led to the formation of a special police task team, which tracked down and detained three suspects, including a minor, within hours of the crime. The arrested individuals have been identified as Aniket Wankhede and Pravin Govind Mane.
Investigators suspect the attack was premeditated and linked to a personal dispute. “Technical surveillance and confidential inputs helped us apprehend the accused swiftly,” said Yuvraj Hande, Senior Police Inspector at Wagholi Police Station.
The attack has sparked outrage on social media, with numerous videos and posts highlighting growing concerns over rising violence among local youths in Wagholi.
