The Bibwewadi police arrested two individuals involved in the sale of mephedrone and seized drugs along with valuable mobile phones, worth a total of Rs 2.1 lakh.

The suspects, identified as Juber alias Sultan Latif Khan (27) from Kondhwa, originally from Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, and Swapnil Bapu Shinde (28) from Laxminagar, Kondhwa, originally from Velhe, Rajgad, were apprehended by the Bibwewadi police.

While patrolling the Gangadham area, Assistant Police Inspector Sanjay Nikumbh and Sub Inspector Ashok Yeole received information about the suspects’ drug dealings. Acting on this tip-off, the police set up a trap at Phashi Gate Chowk in the Gangadham area and successfully arrested both men, seizing mephedrone and 11 mobile phones from their possession.
