Pune News: Two day special campaign for voter registration in Chinchwad constituency

Pune: Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, to ensure maximum voter registration in the Chinchwad constituency, the Election Commission (EC) has ordered a special registration drive on November 25 and 26. Nilesh Deshmukh, the Electoral Registration Officer of 205 Chinchwad Assembly Constituency and Assistant Commissioner of the Tax Collection Department has urged the youth and those who have not yet registered to participate in this campaign. A voter registration camp will be set up at every polling station in Chinchwad from 10 am to 5 pm.

As per the information provided, the voter list will undergo a special summary revision program on January 1, 2024, as announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The program aims to include the names of citizens who are currently deprived of voting. As part of this initiative, a special campaign will be organized on November 25 and 26 to facilitate voter registration.

Additionally, to register as a new voter, complete the registration process by filling out Form No. 6. If you are a foreign voter, please fill out Form No. 6A. Existing voters who need to update their Aadhaar number information can do so by filling out Form No. 6B. For objections, please fill out Form No. 7. Lastly, if you need to apply for transfer, duplicate, or identification as a person with disabilities, please fill out Form No. 8.

In the Chinchwad Constituency, where the gender ratio of the registered voters is 910, a dedicated campaign has been initiated at the ward level to encourage participation from women, transgenders, construction workers, all co-operative societies, employees of industrial establishments, disabled individuals, and others.

In accordance with the guidelines set by the Election Commission, a special two-day initiative has been arranged to facilitate voter registration in the Chinchwad Assembly constituency. During this campaign, it is encouraged that all eligible individuals make their applications at any of the 205 polling stations located at the Chinchwad Constituency Office, Yashwantrao Chavan Secondary School, Thergaon. Additionally, citizens who are unable to complete the application process can register themselves by visiting Voters.eci.gov.in or using the Voter Helpline App.
