Pune News: Two Notorious Criminals Arrested Within 12 Hours For Assault On Wanowrie APIÂ
In a swift operation, the Crime Branch, under the guidance of the Police Commissioner, arrested two notorious criminals within 12 hours for assaulting API Ratnadeep Gaikwad. The arrests were made in Solapur with the assistance of the local police, following a violent altercation that took place near the Sasane Nagar railway gate. The incident occurred around 4:00 PM near the New Royal Auto Garage when two individuals, Nihal Singh Mannu Singh Tak and his accomplice, riding a Hero Ignitor motorcycle, were involved in a heated argument with two men on a Honda Activa. The argument escalated quickly, leading to a physical confrontation. During the altercation, Nihal Singh allegedly assaulted the men on the Honda Activa.
API Gaikwad, who was passing by, intervened to defuse the situation and attempted to disarm Nihal Singh, who was wielding a machete. In a shocking turn of events, Nihal Singh reportedly threw the machete at API Gaikwad, striking him in the head and causing serious injuries.
Following the attack, a case was promptly registered at Wanawadi police station under various sections. API Gaikwad is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital for his injuries. The swift action by the Crime Branch and Solapur police led to the arrest of the accused, who will be presented in court today.
