Pune News : Volunteers of Green Pencil Foundation alongwith Pune traffic police spread awareness on road safety measures
Road safety remains a pivotal concept in India as irrespective of the rules and regulations drafted , the implementation continues to fling around as a challenge. Undoubtedly, road safety remains a universal issue as commuters are rapidly increasing with the excellent road connectivity developments. Henceforth, it is a paramount contribution in the society to be able to foreground people about the splurge to adhere strictly with the traffic rules.
Green Pencil Foundation thereby, Initiated to put forth such concerns and be able to address the rules to road safety in Goodluck Chowk, Deccan Gymkhana, Pune.
Shivani Gitte, the state head of Green Pencil Foundation, Maharashtra, threw light upon the urge to be on roads with proper attention to traffic rules and safety parameters.
She said, “Namely we had a group of ten people actively participating in the drive and the leaders are as follows, Aareef; Hritik; Manisha; Shantanu; Mohit; Shivani; Shakshi; Nayan; Shivam; Deepak. We as a team could interact and impact approximately 200 people and guided them over the significance of rules and policies. We critically took in consideration the challenges faced by the cyclists and pedestrians and ensured proper implementation of rules for the same. different set of rules and guidelines were presented for different availability of vehicles like 2 wheelers four wheelers including pedestrians alongside.”
She further added, “In addition to the drive we also attempted to raise concerns regarding pollution control and pollution check which invariably adds to the menace. Green pencil foundation being a society that works for the environment, simply laid out the essence of making the planet a safe space for all. We would want to extend our heartfelt gratitude towards the traffic control officials and police officials for their constant support and encouragement to be able to conduct a smooth drive in Pune.”
The drive was bedecked with learning and imparting and we wish a cautious road endeavors to the people.
