Pune News: Woman raped as husband fails to repay loan; 1 held

Pune: A shocking incident has come to the fore when a man allegedly raped a woman at knifepoint in front of her husband who had defaulted on a small personal loan, filmed the incident and later circulated it on social media which went viral. A case has been registered by the wife (victim) with the Hadapsar police station.
As per the information, the accused and the victim’s husband were friends. The accused had reportedly lent Rs 40,000 to the complainant’s husband. As the money was not returned even after one and a half years, the accused called the complainant and her husband to their house in the Hadapsar area. After that, he raped his friend’s wife in exchange for money at knifepoint.
As there were CCTV cameras in the house of the accused, the entire incident was caught on that camera. After that, the accused again demanded sexual relations with the complainant. But when the victim refused, the accused circulated the incident, captured on the CCTV camera, on social media.
After receiving the complaint, the Hadapsar police registered a case and arrested the accused. Further investigation of the entire case is going on.
