Pimpri | December 23, 2025: The nomination process for candidates contesting the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) General Elections 2025–26 will commence on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, according to Municipal Commissioner and Election Officer Shravan Hardikar. 

As per the schedule announced by the Election Commission, candidates can submit their nomination papers between 11 am and 3 pm. To ensure a smooth, transparent and rule-based election process, separate offices of Election Decision Officers have been set up at all eight zonal offices of the municipal corporation.

Candidates will be able to submit ward-wise nomination papers offline at the respective zonal offices until December 30, 2025. On the final day, nomination papers can be collected and submitted between 11 am and 2 pm. Adequate administrative arrangements, staff deployment and technical facilities have been provided at each office to facilitate the process.

Scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted on December 31, 2025, while January 2, 2026 has been fixed as the last date for withdrawal of candidature. The final list of candidates along with symbol allotment will be published on January 3, 2026.

Polling for the PCMC General Elections will take place on January 15, 2026, followed by vote counting on January 16, 2026.

All stages of the election process, including scrutiny, validation, withdrawal and publication of the final candidate list, will be conducted strictly as per the Election Commission’s notified programme. The civic administration has appealed to candidates and political parties to strictly adhere to the prescribed timelines.

Candidates have also been instructed to submit all mandatory documents, affidavits and prescribed fees in accordance with Election Commission rules while filing nominations. The municipal corporation has clarified that strict compliance with norms will be ensured at every stage, and any discrepancies may lead to rejection of nomination papers.
