Pune: ‘One State One Uniform’ to be implemented from the current academic year, said Minister Deepak Kesarkar today. 

The initiative will be for the student of the government as well as aided schools in Maharashtra. 

The state government has started making  preparations to implement the scheme of one state one uniform from the current academic year. Soon a notification will be issued regarding the same. 

But the parents organisation have criticised the move taken by the state govt. 

The new academic year is starting on June 15. The decision was taken after a meeting was held with the school management and authorities. 

Children will also get free books and uniforms. Children will get good quality uniforms and shoes. With this initiative the state government is looking at increasing the number of children seeking education.
