Pune: Over 100 residents of Pune’s Clover Highlands society located on NIBM – Undri road have staged a dharna against the builder for allegedly intruding on the premises and conducting unauthorized digging activity on Wednesday morning.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a resident said, “The citizens had organized a dharna as personnel of the builder forcefully entered into our society. They even harassed an 80-year-old female citizen. We have approached the local police station for help.”
Another resident requesting anonymity informed, “The case against the builder is still in the court. The builder cannot pressurize the residents by intruding on our premises like this. We have young and old people sitting here in the dharna. In the past, they forcefully entered the swimming pool area. They also closed the diesel generator (DG) area. As a result, we hired a DG set at a higher cost. Keeping the DG area closed, has left the water pumps and lifts non-functional multiple times causing inconvenience. We have also been threatened by the builders’ personnel on many occasions.”
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Raj Bhansali, from Clover Builders said, “There are vested interests of some people in the issue. These people are spreading misinformation among other people.”
The residents have approached the local police station for further help in the matter.
