Pimpri, January 14, 2026: Polling for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) General Elections will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. A total of 2,067 polling booths have been set up across the city. To ensure close monitoring of the voting process, the civic body has implemented a comprehensive webcasting system with CCTV surveillance at all polling stations.

Under this initiative, the municipal corporation has installed as many as 4,528 CCTV cameras across all polling centres. To monitor live feeds from these cameras, a dedicated war room has been established at the PCMC’s main administrative building in Pimpri.

The election machinery has been fully prepared to maintain law and order and to ensure that the voting process is conducted peacefully, transparently, and fairly. The webcasting system has been implemented under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Election Officer Shravan Hardikar, and under the supervision of Nodal Officer and Assistant City Engineer Anil Bhalsakhale.

As part of the arrangement, one CCTV camera has been installed inside each polling booth, one outside the booth, and one at the entrance of the building, bringing the total to 4,528 cameras. All cameras will be centrally monitored from the war room.

The war room will function under the supervision of Anil Bhalsakhale, along with Executive Engineers Mahesh Kavale, Balu Lande, and Santosh Durge, supported by two Deputy Engineers, eight Junior Engineers, and other staff members.

“To ensure that the voting process in the PCMC general elections is conducted in a peaceful and transparent manner, CCTV-based webcasting facilities have been provided at all polling stations. Continuous monitoring will be carried out, with priority given to maintaining law and order,”
