Pune : Persistent Issues Plague Vasant Vihar Society Residents In Bibvewadi

Pune: Residents of Vasant Vihar Society in Bibwewadi are long pending issues such as garbage accumulation due to improper maintenance near Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) DP Box outside the society, parking in front of the society gate and many more. The residents alleged that the civic authorities often ignore cleaning the area which is leading to the spot becoming a dumping zone for many.
As per information shared by Yogesh Mehta, Vice Chairman of Vasant Vihar Society, a lot of garbage is thrown outside the gate of the society. Due to the MSEDCL DP being not maintained correctly, that area becomes very messy and dirty. People from nearby shops and societies feel it is a place to throw garbage and keep throwing all their garbage there, which is causing severe issues to the society, and the members of the society are facing health issues.
Apart from this, there is a Paan Tapri outside the society, which causes a lot of issues. The people come and park vehicles in front of the society gate, they smoke cigarettes in front of the society which is a public place, and also sometimes enter the society to use water or just stand there. A lot of these people are drunk and not in a sense and are a threat to the society people and the kids in the society especially.
Nishikant Raut, MSEDCL, Pune PRO said, “MSEDCL has sent officials in that area & the maintenance work will begin shortly.”
Pune Pulse tried to contact the PMC Solid Waste Management Official but couldn’t connect.
