Pune: PMC Conducts Inspection Of Mohanrao Bhide Park On Sinhagad Road, Plans Completion Before Dasara
Pune, March 27, 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is advancing the development of a new park at Mohanrao Bhide Garden, located behind Abhiruchi Mall on Sinhagad Road. On Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10:30 AM, Omprakash Divate, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Special), PMC, conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing work.
The inspection was attended by senior officials from the PMC Garden Department, including Dr. Ashok D. Ghorpade, Joint Municipal Commissioner; Rahul Salunke, Executive Engineer (Architecture); Santoshkumar Kamble, Garden Officer; Bhagyashree Chougule, Assistant Engineer (Electrical); Shruti Nazirkar, Assistant Garden Officer; Amol Jagdale, Junior Engineer (Electrical); and Pawan Karande, Junior Engineer (Architecture), along with the project contractor.
During the visit, the Additional Commissioner provided guidance on completing architectural, horticultural, and electrical work in line with budget provisions, aiming to inaugurate the park in the upcoming fiscal year. He also recommended extensive use of bamboo in the park’s design, including railings and pagodas, while ensuring high-quality execution of all works.
Officials were instructed to expedite land acquisition and complete the Mohanrao Bhide Park development before the Dasara festival, making it accessible to citizens for public use.
