Pune: PMC to tighten safety regulations in hospitals after Delhi hospital tragedy
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued a notice to an insurance company based in the Yerwada area for unauthorized construction activities. The violation pertains to the establishment at White House housing society, where the construction is reported across the fifth and sixth floors.
In its notice, the PMC has mandated that the company provide a written explanation within fifteen days of the order being issued.
When Pune Pulse contacted the PMC official, Pradip Bhagwat Umap, junior engineer, building development zone 4 stated that the establishment has been sent a notice and they are bound to respond within two weeks of the issuance of notice. They will have to furnish all details about the said illegal construction if any in writing, if they fail to do so they will be sent notice under section 206 A.
The current notice sent on May 21 is under section 206, he informed.
