Pune: PMC Launches Heritage Walk To Showcase Rich Historical and Cultural Legacy

Pune, October 17, 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced the launch of a Heritage Walk to help citizens explore and appreciate the city’s rich historical and cultural legacy. The initiative aims to familiarize participants with Pune’s iconic landmarks that reflect its glorious past.

The heritage walk will cover prominent sites including Shivaji Bridge, Ghorpade Ghat, Shaniwarwada, Kasba Ganpati Temple, Lal Mahal, Nanawada, Bhau Rangari Residence, Tambadi Jogeshwari Temple, Dagdusheth Ganpati Temple, Bhidhe Wada, Nagar Vachan Mandir, Belbag Temple, Mahatma Phule Mandai, Tulshibaug Ram Temple, and Vishrambaug Wada.

The walks will be conducted every Saturday and Sunday at 7 a.m., starting from October 25, 2025. Consultant Ajit Vaman Apte (9822399460) has been appointed by the PMC to lead the initiative, said
