Pune : PMC to upload ward-wise DP roads data on it’s website to prevent fraudulent deals

To stop fraudulent land deals, PMC will post ward-by-ward information about development plan (DP) of roads on its website.

The information will be available on the civic administration’s official website, according to a senior PMC official. This data can serve as a point of reference for buyers.

When properties are constructed on the land designated for DP roads, it becomes challenging for the civic administration to implement road-widening projects, according to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) officials.

According to a PMC official, the administration must handle legal concerns when it comes to tearing down such properties.

According to the officials, since 1997, fraudulent land deals or encroachments have prevented PMC from finishing certain roads that were declared in the DP.

A proactive measure to address these issues and guarantee transparency in land transactions is to make DP road details available online, which will eventually aid in the development of the city’s infrastructure.
