Pune: PMPML Issues Diversion For Vehicles Ahead Of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti

Pune, along with Pimpri-Chinchwad and its neighboring areas, gears up to commemorate Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Jayanti on 14 April 2024, with a series of events slated across the city and its peripheries. In anticipation of the grand celebrations, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has announced temporary alterations to several bus routes to facilitate the smooth conduct of the festivities.

A significant focal point of the day’s events will be at Bolhai Chowk near Pune Station, where devotees will pay homage to the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Given the expected surge in footfall for this activity, buses will be diverted from the Pune Station Agar J.N. Petite Bus Stand, Sassoon Road, and Moledina Bus Stand to alternative routes. Passengers, especially those commuting to and from Nehru Memorial Hall, Alankar Chowk, and the Pune Station Agar J.N. Petite Bus Stand area, are advised to stay informed about these route adjustments.

On the 14th of April 2024, the following temporary route modifications will be implemented:

1. Bus Routes 29, 148, 148A, and 201 will be redirected via Sadhu Vaswani Chowk and Alankar Chowk.
2. Bus Routes 3, 5, 6, 39, 57, 140, 140A, and 141 will maintain their regular schedules but will travel to Pune Station or K.E.M. Hospital via Narpatgiri Chowk or Lal Deul.
3. Bus Routes 24, 24A, 31, 235, and 236 will follow their usual routes to Pune Station but via Narpatgiri Chowk or K.E.M. Hospital Chowk.
4. Bus Routes 8, 81, 94, 108, 143, 144, 144A, 144K, and 283 will proceed to Pune Station via Narpatgiri Chowk or K.E.M. Hospital Chowk.
5. Bus Routes 142, 145, and 146 will travel to Pune Station via J.N. Petite Estate Bus Stop.
6. Bus Routes 86, 98, 102, 131, 132, 133, 133A, 135, 137, 147, 158, 159, 159B, 162, 164, 165, 169, 234, and 237 will pass through old markets, Gadital Chowk, and Lal Deul.
7. Bus Routes 112, 139, 139A, 160, 168, 175, 182, 204, 208, and Metro Shuttle 17 will travel from Hadapsar or Mundhwa villages to M.N.P.A. Building, Chinchwad, and Nigdi.
8. Bus Routes 170, 172, 177, 186, 187, and 203 will operate from J.N. Petite Station to Sadhu Vaswani Chowk.
9. Bus Routes 9 and 174 will depart from J.N. Petite Stations as per their regular schedules.
10. Bus Routes 151, 154, 155, 163, 166, and 315 will run normally from morning until J.N. Petite Station.
11. Bus Routes 115, 225, 317, 325, 333, 348, and 357 will follow their usual routes with a stop at J.N. Petite.
12. Bus Routes 311, 312, and 366 will maintain their regular routes via Power House Road.
