Pune, November 4, 2025: In a bid to enhance revenue and service quality, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has rolled out a series of new measures across its public transport network. The initiative aims to improve transparency in ticketing, streamline passenger communication, and reduce instances of ticketless travel.

PMPML Chairman and Managing Director Pankaj Deore has instructed starters, checkers, conductors, and drivers to make key announcements to passengers before bus departures, guiding them to use QR codes or the PMPML mobile app for faster and hassle-free ticketing.

At a meeting held on October 30 at the Swargate Central Training Hall, attended by checkers from Headquarters 1 and 2, Devre emphasized the need to encourage digital ticketing while ensuring no inconvenience to commuters. Conductors have been directed to issue cash tickets promptly in cases of network disruptions that prevent passengers from booking through the app.
