Pune: PMPML Takes Legal Action Against Defacement of Bus Stops in Pimpri-Chinchwad
Pune,November 11, 2025: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has initiated legal action against individuals responsible for defacing bus stops with unauthorized advertisements, banners, posters, and flex boards.
A complaint was filed by PMPML regarding the defacement of the Srishti Hotel Chowk bus stop in the Pimpri-Chinchwad metropolitan area. As per the orders of the Chairman and Managing Director dated 8 November 2025, the case has been registered with the Sangvi Police Station under Section 3 of the Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 1995.
This action has been taken against those who installed advertisements without the corporation’s permission, thereby damaging public property. Legal proceedings are underway against the offenders.
The Chairman and Managing Director have instructed all depot managers to regularly inspect all bus stops and bus sheds in their areas, file immediate complaints against unauthorized advertisements, and ensure bus stops are kept clean and advertisement-free.
PMPML is committed to keeping public property clean, safe, and free from unauthorized advertisements. Citizens are urged to report any such violations to the nearest depot manager immediately.
