Pune, May 28, 2025: The Emergency Department of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) is now fully equipped with advanced systems to effectively deal with emergencies arising from heavy rainfall and other disaster situations. Citizens are urged not to step out during such emergencies and to avoid going to hazardous areas.

PMRDA’s Additional Metropolitan Commissioner, Deepak Singla, has instructed all departments to ensure proper planning to provide timely assistance during disaster events.

According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent updates are being provided about the monsoon, with warnings of heavy rainfall in certain areas. In response, PMRDA is on high alert and ready with its advanced emergency infrastructure.

Concerned officials have been directed to maintain communication with other departments and ensure that emergency aid reaches affected individuals promptly. Citizens are also advised not to venture out for tourism or unnecessary travel during such times and to strictly follow government advisories.
