The traffic congestion issue in Chandni Chowk is solved, followed by the resolution of the Bhugaon Bypass issue, which is of great significance on the Pune-Kolad road. This will facilitate the smooth flow of traffic on this route.

The development plan of the PMRDA stipulates that the 18-metre-wide and 800-metre-long Bhugaon outbound line requires 1.44 hectares of land. A total of 41 landowner consents were necessary, of which 37 plot holders have provided consent letters for advance possession of land in exchange for Floor Space Index (FSI) or Transferable Development Rights (TDR).

This road is crucial in alleviating traffic congestion on the route from Chandni Chowk to Kolad (District Raigad). The PMRDA will acquire land for the diversion route, which will then be handed over to the Maharashtra Road Development Corporation. Under the guidance of PMRDA chief engineer Ashok Bhalkar, senior engineer Amit Tidke and assistant town planner Vivek Dubewar supervised the work of obtaining consent for land acquisition. The Bhugaon gram panchayat and local public representatives have supported this initiative.
