The Pune Police have announced a reward of ₹1 lakh for any information leading to the arrest of Dattatraya Ramdas Gade, the prime accused in the Swargate bus rape case. Gade, 37, a resident of Gunat, Shirur taluka in Pune district, has been absconding since the crime was reported.

A case has been registered against him at the Swargate Police Station under IPC sections 64 and 351(2). The authorities have urged citizens to come forward with any relevant information about the accused. They have assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential.

The incident, which occurred inside a stationary Shivshahi bus at Swargate Bus Depot, has triggered public outrage, prompting the police to intensify their search. Several teams have been deployed to track Gade, who has a history of criminal offenses.
