Pune Police Apprehends Electro-Homeopathy Doctor Practising In Warje Sans License
The Warje police officials on October 9 arrested an electro-homeopathy and naturopathy practising doctor on the charges of running a clinic since 2002 without any valid license.
The doctor identified as Bibhuti Bimal Bagchi was allegedly practising as a piles expert. The case was filed on a complaint raised by Pune Municipal Corporation. The police invoked charges under section 33 (medical practise by person not registered), 35 (colourable imitation of degrees, diplomas or licensees) and 36 (unauthorised addition of title or description to name) of the Maharashtra Medical Practitioners Act.
Police stated that Bagchi claimed to have a qualification in BEMS (Bachelor of Electro- Homeopathy Medicine And Surgery) and ND (Naturopathy Doctor) and was treating patients suffering from piles.
Police are further investigating the case.
