Pune police books man for firing on pet dog in Manjari

Pune: Hadapsar police booked a man for allegedly involved in firing on a dog and injured the pet, said officials.

Priti Vikas Agrawal has filed a police complaint in this case against the accused. Agrawal mentioned in her complaint that,  the incident was reported on 21 November near Kiran Enclave Lokmangal Society in Manjari.

Police told, accused claimed that said dog was harassing and irritating him on a daily basis when he passed on in the locality. Hence, in order to get rid of the dog menace, on 21 November at around 11:00 pm, the accused fired on the dog by using a sports gun and injured the dog badly.

Police inspector Ravindra Shelke said, “Taking cognizance of the complaint, we have initiated investigation in this case and arrested the accused under various sections of Animal Cruelty act.”
