Commissioner Kumar has directed all police station heads to enforce the following regulations rigorously:

– Pubs and restaurants must close by midnight.

– Loudspeakers must comply with Supreme Court guidelines.

– Time must be allocated for post-closing cleanup.

– Actions will be taken against any disturbances or misbehavior outside pubs.

– Traffic should not be obstructed.

Complaints have been received about pubs operating past midnight in areas such as Mundhwa, Koregaon Park, and Baner, with disturbances reported to last until dawn. In response, the Commissioner has initiated citywide enforcement of the midnight closure rule for all pubs, bars, and restaurants. Failure to comply will result in action against the responsible police station heads.

After this directive, officials from the city’s hotel and restaurant association met with the Police Commissioner, requesting more time to comply. Commissioner Kumar has since extended the closing time to 12:30 AM.
