Pune police introduces novel idea to collect fine from violators

Pune City Police have now introduced an online payment system where the violators can pay their fine online. Since June 23, 2021, citizens violating Covid19 related rules are penalised and fines are collected from such people through online payment modes.

A separate bank account has been opened in a private bank. Also, all officials at the Police station are given mobile phone, QR codes, QR Code Flex, etc. All police stations are given Day book and have been trained to facilitate the process. These fines can be paid through any UPI payment mode through QR code by scanning it. Since past three days Rs 24,000 have been collected as fine from violators.
