Pune Police Launches ‘Sarathi Ganesh Utsav Guide 2023’ for Easy Parking Access

PUNE: During the Ganesh festival period, the Pune Police Traffic Branch has made available to citizens the ‘Sarathi’ Ganesh Utsav Guide 2023, which offers easy travel options and information on the distance of the famous Ganpati mandals in the central part of the city, as well as the facility of vehicle parking at a click. This guide was unveiled by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Ritesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Pune City, and other dignitaries.

The main Ganesha mandals in the central part of the city are often crowded during this festival period, and this guide aims to provide reliable information about parking lots for the vehicles of devotees coming for darshan, as well as information about closed roads and alternative routes.

The ‘Sarathi’ Ganesh Utsav Guide 2023 has been created to enable more citizens and tourists to participate in this historic and traditional festival that Pune has enjoyed. Features of the guide include the ability to view the route of the main Ganesha mandals and parking lots in the central part of the city. There are a total of five schools and seven college grounds available for parking from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM the next day, as well as other private parking lots.

Information about these locations is also provided location-wise.

• Guidance regarding road closures and alternative routes during the festival period will be provided. The map will contain information about the ring road in the city during the Ganesh Utsav period.

• Information about the routes prohibited for heavy traffic in the central part of the city will be available during the festival.

• Additionally, information about the location of Ganesha idol immersion ghats will be provided during the festival.

• The ‘Sarathi’ Ganesh Utsav Guide Link and QR Code will be publicized on social media, newspapers, bus stations, railway stations, private travel stops, important intersections, and Ganesh Mandals. The link information will be displayed in banner form on the screen.

• The ‘Sarathi’ Ganesh Utsav Guide -2023 can be accessed by scanning the QR code or opening the link. The map will provide information about important Ganesha mandals, parking places, closed roads, ring roads, roads closed to heavy traffic, and alternative routes.

• By clicking on the parking lot/Ganesh Mandal icon on the map, citizens can obtain information about the available routes to their desired destinations.

• Similarly, citizens can find directions to reach Ganesh mandalas or parking lots from their current location.
