The Vishrambaug Police Station swiftly apprehended suspects in a murder case within one hour of the crime. The suspects, Jayant Lakshman Komkar and Ganesh Lakshman Komkar, were arrested following the crime registered at Samarth Police Station under case number 188/2024. The charges include sections from the Indian Penal Code 2023, the Arms Act, and the Maharashtra Police Act.

Acting on orders from Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, a team led by Police Inspector Barure and officers Shailesh Surve, Sachin Ahivale, Mayur Bhosale, Ganesh Katke, Ashish Kharat, Rahul More, and Babar began the search. Reliable information from informants led the team to the suspects’ location.

The suspects, Jayant Lakshman Komkar, 52, and Ganesh Lakshman Komkar, 37, both residents of Bhavani Peth, Palakhi Vitoba Chowk, Pune, were found at the reported location. During interrogation, their involvement in the crime was confirmed. They were taken into custody and handed over to Samarth Police Station for further investigation.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Additional Police Commissioner Ranjan Kumar Sharma, and Deputy Police Commissioner Praveen Kumar Patil. Senior Police Inspector Vijaymala Pawar, Inspector Arun Ghodeke, and other officers played key roles in the successful capture of the suspects.
