Pune Police nabs man for threatening and black mailing his female friend

Pune: Chandan Nagar Police has arrested a man for raping, threatening and blackmailing his female friend many times by threatening to post her photos on social media taken for the modelling purpose. The victim filed a complaint at Chandan Nagar police station. As per the information, the accused is identified as Karan Anna Pagare who belongs to Nashik City.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Rajendra Landage, Police Inspector, Chandan Nagar Police Station, said, “ Since August 2022, The accused and the victim were working together in a saloon in Pune and were in a live-in relationship. The accused was living in the Vadgaon Sheri area in Pune. Both of them went for a modelling project in Nashik. After coming back, the accused started threatening the victim by claiming to make her modelling photos viral. He also took her to a lodge and raped her multiple times. The accused wanted to marry her and threatened the family of the victim by filing a case of atrocity against them if they do not agree. The victim’s family did not listen, so the accused sent the modelling photos to the family and also made them viral. After that, the victim immediately filed a complaint at Chandan Nagar police station. Taking action, we arrested the accused.”
As per information, a case under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against Karan Pagare.
