Pune Police Recover Woman’s Lost Mobile From Rickshaw Within 20 Minutes
Pune, May 7, 2026: In a swift and efficient operation, personnel from Pune Police recovered a woman’s mobile phone that was accidentally left behind in a rickshaw and returned it to her within just 20 minutes.
The incident took place when Kajal Mahendra Parihar, a resident of Vadgaon Sheri area, was travelling by rickshaw to Phoenix Marketcity Pune. After getting down at the mall, she realised that her mobile phone had been left inside the vehicle.
Parihar immediately approached the Mahatma Phule Police Chowky seeking assistance. Responding quickly, Police Constables Amol Dhakane and Rohit Suryavanshi, who were on marshal duty from Chandannagar Police Station, gathered information about the incident and began tracing the vehicle.
Using CCTV footage from the area, the police identified the rickshaw number and obtained the driver’s contact details. After contacting the driver and explaining the situation, he cooperated with the police and agreed to return the mobile phone.
Within 20 minutes, the police successfully recovered the phone and handed it back to Kajal Parihar.
Parihar thanked the Pune Police and Chandannagar Police staff for their prompt action and appreciated their quick response.
