Pune: Policeman’s Timely Action Saves Young Woman’s Life In Wanowrie
Pune: A young woman riding a two-wheeler near Holevasti, Wanowrie, lost control and fell unconscious on the road after suffering a seizure. Acting swiftly, Police Constable Harshal Shivarkar provided timely first aid based on his training, bringing the woman back to consciousness and preventing a major mishap.
The incident occurred near the Bhairoba Bridge near Kohinoor Society in Wanwadi. Hearing the sound of a crash, Constable Harshal Shivarkar and members of the Hanuman Mitra Mandal rushed to the spot. They found the young woman lying unconscious on the road with froth coming from her mouth, while another young woman had stopped to assist her. Together, they moved the unconscious woman to safety.
While bystanders suggested taking the woman to a hospital, Constable Shivarkar recognized the situation as a seizure and promptly administered first aid using his police training. Within minutes, the woman regained consciousness, averting a potential tragedy.
The woman’s brother was contacted, and she was safely sent home with him. Constable Harshal Shivarkar, a resident of the Holevasti area, is being widely praised for his presence of mind and quick action that saved a life.
