Pune: Hadapsar constituency deserves freedom from water shortages, traffic congestion, and crime. The current MLA has failed to address these pressing issues. The MahaVikas Aghadi (MVA) will bridge this gap and guide Hadapsar toward development,” stated Prashant Jagtap, the official MVA candidate for Hadapsar. Jagtap formally launched his campaign on Wednesday by seeking blessings at the Bhairavnath temple, followed by the inauguration of his central election office at Bhosale Garden in Hadapsar.

Senior Congress leader and former minister Balasaheb Shivarkar, along with NCP district president Jagannath Bapu Shevale, former MLA Adv. Jaydev Gaikwad, former mayor Ankush Kakade, Shiv Sena Deputy City Chief Sameer Tupe, and many other leaders from the MVA alliance attended the event.

During his speech, Jagtap said, “After seeking blessings at the temple, I have begun this campaign with the support of my family and the MVA leadership. Our party chief Sharad Pawar has entrusted me with the responsibility of running for the development of Hadapsar. With everyone’s support, I aim to make the most of this opportunity by addressing the constituency’s key issues, such as water shortages, traffic, and rising crime. The current MLA has done little in the past five years, which is why the people are supporting my campaign. I am confident that, with your blessings, I will represent Hadapsar in the legislature.”

Speaking on Jagtap’s candidacy, former mayor Ankush Kakade added, “Prashant Jagtap has been an impactful leader as both mayor and city president, and his strong community connections make him aware of Hadapsar’s needs. He embodies a balanced and development-focused vision for Hadapsar’s progress.”

Congress leader Balasaheb Shivarkar praised Jagtap’s work and urged voters to support MVA’s vision for Hadapsar. Reflecting on his own previous leadership of the constituency, Shivarkar criticized the lack of progress over the past five years, emphasizing that it is time to elect a new representative.
