Pune : Public Outraged as PMPML Bus Carelessly Drives on Footpath, Demands Urgent Action

Pune, 19 June 2023: A shocking incident unfolded at Seven Loves Chowk when a PMPML bus was observed recklessly driving on the footpath, causing distress to pedestrians and regular commuters. The incident caught the attention of Hrishikesh Hirde, who quickly took to Twitter to share photographs and details of this dangerous act.

Expressing deep concern for public safety, Hirde’s tweet shed light on the audacity of government-run buses blatantly breaking traffic rules and the detrimental impact it has on people’s sense of security while navigating the city streets.

Upon receiving the complaint, the official Twitter handle of PMPML acknowledged the issue and provided a token number, T1146, for reference. Hirde was directed to check the status of his complaint at complaints.pmpml.org/checkComplaint…, with an assurance that the matter would be addressed.

The severity of the situation has prompted the Pune Traffic Police to take decisive action against PMPML. They have received numerous complaints regarding PMPML drivers and their flagrant disregard for traffic regulations. Consequently, several offenders have been directly fined under the Sudarshan Karwayi scheme, a measure aimed at curbing such violations.
