Pune Pulse had reported the issues faced by the residents of Savannah Society in Wagholi because of sewage water getting accumulated inside the society premises.

Taking note of the news, former Sarpanch of Wagholi Gram Panchayat monitored the situation and instructed PMRDA & PMC to do road as well as drainage line work soon, leading to an improvement in the situation.

As per further information shared by Chetan Bodkhe, Resident of Savannah Society, Wagholi, PMC officials have approved funding for 300m drainage line which they are ready to spend here. Instead of spending this money on Baif road, they are ready to spend that amount on DP road attached to the society. As the distance (almost 600m) is more than 300m, they are ready to spend that amount for drainage work.

Also, former Sarpanch Vasundhara Ubale & Shivdas Ubale and MLA Ashok Pawar contacted the concerned officials and assured to do DP road markings in next 2-3 days. They will accompany a crane as well so that, with doing road markings, drainage line markings would also be done immediately.

Once this is done, the PMC will start drainage line work immediately.

On the other hand, PMC officials are also going to send notice to all the societies again as they haven’t started the STP plants.

For a long time, flat owners of Savannah Society in Wagholi are troubled and disgusted because of the daily sewage water entering and accumulating in the society premises.
