Pune Pulse Impact : Residents Rejoice As Motorable Road Between Marvel Sangria and Dorabjee Paradise In Mohammadwadi Opens

After persistent efforts from Pune Pulse, the long-awaited transformation of the road between Dorabjee Paradise and Marvel Sangria in Mohammadwadi has finally come to fruition, now accessible to vehicular traffic.

Residents are elated and relieved by this development. Zakir Hiroli, a resident of Mohammadwadi, shared his satisfaction, stating, “The previous condition of the road made commuting unbearable, with frequent damages and heavy vehicle traffic. Thanks to the efforts of Pune Pulse and others, the road is now in excellent condition, significantly improving the commute.”

The wall around the nala which flows along the road also had collapsed making it very threatening not only for the commuters but also for the pedestrians. Pune Pulse continuously fought over the issue with the PMC and got the wall built too.

Parveen Tambe, Founder Member of the NIBM Undri Road Residents’ Forum, expressed gratitude for the road’s reopening, highlighting ongoing efforts to enhance its infrastructure.
“The road is now open for traffic, with cleanliness and additional
improvements underway,” Tambe said. “We’re also advocating for the preservation of surrounding greenery for environmental benefits.”

Gautam Gavand, an official from the PMC Road Department, clarified that while the road is accessible for light vehicles, further enhancements such as drainage chamber installation are still ongoing and expected to be completed within a week.

Pune Pulse was following up with the Pune Municipal Corporation for redeveloping this road for the last 2 years, and it was just two months ago that the road work started and two days ago the road was opened for vehicles.

This development marks a significant improvement in the accessibility and comfort of commuting for residents in the Mohammadwadi area, promising smoother journeys ahead.
