Pune : IT professionals from Hinjawadi duped in courier fraud scam, lose Rs 40 lakhs
Recently three software engineers — two men and a woman working in Hinjawadi recently lost a total of Rs 40 lakhs in a courier scam. Separate cases were registered with the Hinjawadi police on Thursday.
The scammers claimed that they are officers from the Mumbai police and shared that they have shared their contact number with expired passports and drugs.
As per reports from sub-inspector Tukaram shelke from the Hinjawadi police station the scammers asked the complainants to download a mobile application and One Time Password (OTP) to avoid any legal action.”
The conmen after getting the details of the complainants took loans of various amounts.
